Pokémon Primary Schools’ Cup National Finals: The Finalists Are Confirmed!

24 primary schools from across England will head to the Pokémon Primary Schools’ Cup National Finals following the conclusion of the Regional Finals. The national finalists will travel to Stoke City FC on Friday 16th May 2025, to compete to become Pokémon Primary Schools’ Cup National Champions 2025!

The Pokémon Primary Schools’ Cup is the largest primary-aged schools’ cup in England, with over 5,000 school teams and more than 50,000 children participating in the prestigious tournaments.

Tournament Structure

The competition provides three pathways for teams to progress through:

  • U11 Pokémon Primary Schools’ Cup
  • U11 Pokémon Primary Schools’ Cup for Girls
  • U11 Pokémon Primary Schools’ Cup for Small Schools

Teams advance through the three District, County, and regional rounds of the competition before reaching the National Finals.

The Regional Rounds, held throughout March, saw over 120 schools compete for the title of regional champions after being crowned county champions earlier in the season. Earning a place in the National Finals is a remarkable achievement, and the ESFA and Pokémon would like to congratulate all teams that participated.

A huge congratulations to the following schools who have qualified for the national finals in their respective competitions.
